Description:
Roots is a Michelin-starred restaurant on Marygate, created by Tommy Banks and led by head chef Will Lockwood. Set near the River Ouse in a bright, modern dining room, it serves creative tasting menus inspired by Yorkshire produce, preservation, farming and growing. Basically, it is York fine dining with mud on its boots and serious skill in the kitchen.
