Description:

Dry Dock is the famous Leeds pub on a boat, parked up on Woodhouse Lane and serving pub food, drinks, craft beer, cocktails and student-friendly good times in one of the city’s most recognisable venues. Great for casual pints, uni catch-ups and anyone who thinks drinking on dry land is overrated.

Good for:

Pub food · Craft beer · Cocktails · Student nights · Group drinks · Leeds oddities

Nearby:

Leeds Beckett University · Woodhouse Lane · The Light · Millennium Square · Merrion Centre · Leeds Art Gallery

Make a Day of It:

Start with a wander around Millennium Square, The Light or Leeds Art Gallery, then head up Woodhouse Lane for food and drinks at Dry Dock. If you’re with students, mates or anyone easily impressed by “it’s literally a boat,” this is an easy win before heading towards Merrion Street or the city centre.

The Tidy Take:

Tidy Guides recommends Dry Dock because it’s one of those Leeds places everyone seems to know, and for good reason. It’s casual, central, a bit ridiculous in the best way, and still a solid shout when the plan is simple: food, drinks, mates and a pub that looks like it took a wrong turn at the canal.
