Description:
Roland’s is an independent Call Lane bar serving cocktails, craft beers, wine, pizza and relaxed late-night Leeds character from one of the city’s busiest going-out streets. It has a cosy inside, a small rooftop terrace and the sort of grown-up but still playful feel that works for first drinks, last drinks and “we were meant to leave an hour ago” drinks.
Good for:
Cocktails, craft beer, wine, pizza, casual dates, group drinks, late nights, rooftop terrace drinks, Call Lane nights out and anyone who likes a bar with a bit more personality than a neon sign and a queue.
Nearby:
Call Lane, Leeds Corn Exchange, Oporto, Northern Guitars, The Calls, Kirkgate Market, Lower Briggate, Victoria Gate, Trinity Leeds.
Make a Day of It:
Start with a wander around Leeds Corn Exchange or Kirkgate Market, then head to Roland’s for pizza, cocktails and craft beer. If the rooftop terrace is open, get up there early. If you are staying out, you are already on Call Lane, which means the night can go in about eight different directions and most of them involve another drink.
The Tidy Take:
Roland’s is a proper Call Lane favourite, intimate, independent and nicely scruffy around the edges in the best way. Great for cocktails, craft beer, pizza and nights that want a bit of character instead of another polished bar pretending it invented fun.
