Description:

The Hop is a lively two-level pub tucked inside the historic Dark Arches beneath Leeds Station, serving cask ales, craft beer, wine and proper pub comfort food with plenty of character. It’s got brick arches, beer, pies and station-adjacent convenience. Basically everything except an excuse not to pop in.

Good for:

Cask ales, craft beer, pies, after-work drinks, pre-train pints, dog-friendly stops, casual food, beer garden drinks, live music vibes and anyone who thinks railway arches make every pint feel 12% cooler.

Nearby:

Leeds Station, Granary Wharf, Leeds & Liverpool Canal, The Lock, SALT Granary Wharf, Water Lane Boathouse, City Square.

Make a Day of It:

Start with a wander along Granary Wharf and the canal, then drop into The Hop for beers, pies and a proper Dark Arches pit stop. If you’re catching a train, it’s dangerously handy; if you’re not, it’s still a strong excuse to pretend you had “plans near the station.”

The Tidy Take:

The Hop is a Leeds classic for anyone who likes their pubs with character, decent beer and a bit of railway-arch drama. It’s central, cosy, dog-friendly and perfect for that “one before the train” pint that somehow turns into checking later departures. We’ve all been there.
